“Bespoke interior object”
We design bespoke pieces for high-end clients, creating objects that merge functionality with sculptural presence. For the Bibi van der Velden flagship store, we designed this sculptural counter, crafted entirely from maple wood. Its form suggests a monumental block of stone, creating a surreal play between material and shape that turns the piece into a true eye-catcher.
Integrated into the counter are several playful elements, including a mechanical crocodile activated by a lever, and a marble run that sends a small ball ringing a bell to call a store associate. These playful elements invite customers to engage in an unexpected and imaginative way.
