“Interior design”
For Bibi van der Velden’s first flagship store, Studio NV designed a fully immersive interior where every element is custom-made and crafted to echo the world of her jewelry. The space transforms the act of discovery into a physical experience: jewels are revealed like treasures unearthed from the earth, and each area of the store is shaped around themes of excavation, depth, and sacred architecture.
A cave-like chamber at the back holds the most precious pieces, while layered seating in the lounge mirrors geological strata. At the entrance, sculptural jewel boxes emerge like uncovered fragments, offering intimate glimpses of Bibi’s rare creations. Throughout the store, light, material, and form work together to evoke a sense of reverence: an atmosphere where every piece feels like a modern relic. The result is a space that is not just a store, but an experience: a carefully crafted journey through hidden layers, revealing beauty with intention and meaning.
